Ventress further notes that crankcase ventilation impacts the turbo loader, which makes it much easier for turbo carry oil to screen the turbo bearing housing if its ventilation system — filters and pipes — is kept clean and clear. High crankcase pressure caused by low ventilation is a typical cause of oil leaking from the turbocharger.
He adds that ‘correct maintenance of the engine protects the turbo charge and [technicians] and end-users, where feasible, conform to the operation intervals of engine OEM with authentic components.’
