Myth- This turbo is completely cooled with oil as it is difficult to cool.
Fact- Nothing like a tiny oil-cooled turbo loader exists!! The fact that all have coats that need lubrication means that all the turbochargers are oil-fed. Whether water-cooled or not, turbocharger units are! Comprehensive stop!! Unfortunately, the majority of producers of aftermarket turbo kits mention the usage of water-cooled turbo or non-water cooled turbo but leave water-cooling off. Everything for money!! As always, the justifications are confusing for the consumer! This is obvious when we look at the 4WD turbo factory. Almost all utilize water refrigeration.
Myth: The engine is operating at a substantially lower temperature if it is an intercooler.
The fact – The cylinder air charge is compressed to around 500PSI on a diesel engine. The air must be hot red so that it instantly ignites when the diesel fuel is introduced. Hot air is no problem for diesel, as we can see. The fantasy of cooler, denser air and lower temperatures while substantially boosting power is typically sold to Intercoolers. Only when the power portion is excluded will the temperature part be true. In order to obtain the increase in electricity sold by Intercooler, the fuel load must now be increased. As I usually say, more fuel produces a greater heat offset.
Let us now examine the other probable inter-cooling difficulties. The main one that undoubtedly ‘cooks’ motors is gasoline and hunger for power. However, the most prevalent is the limitation of heat exchange airflow. In order to refresh the warm engine, the radiator needs cool air. We usually have a bull bar, driving lights, insect screens in the front (all of which convey tiny quantities of air) and we then added the hot air dumping system from Intercooler to the condenser. The radiator now receives the remainders and the power boosted, the tough functioning motor is expected to cool down. An Intercooler may not be running cooler if it adds to a turbo system.
Myth – Specific firms do not boost motor power too much to maintain extended motor life by charging turbo.
Fact- That’s an alarming comment! The lifetime of a diesel engine, much alone a turbo-charged engine, cannot be measured. If a turbo system is properly installed, it will not affect motor life. We advise here that engine life may be extended by installing a turbocharged system because it now works with increasing efficiency, which can reduce soot build-up in motor oil and piston rings etc. Hence, at Berrima Diesel! We notice that we turbo-loaded automobiles with over 500,000 kilometers on the engine a few years ago without any indications of wear out. Diesel last if maintained appropriately!
