Myth – If a turbo fits, a fuel pump that runs better and gives you more power has to be attached to it.
Fact – Initially, adding a Turbo system to your injection pump cost up to $1000-$1800. In specifically, it is meant as a pollution control device and is used only in factories for a turbo diesel. Unfortunately, aneroids can be used in aftermarket turbo equipment to disguise fuel and engine power. I find it most fun when I hear the comments from the “Diesel Pump Shops”: ‘If this is too lean, pistons will be burned and it will fuel you very much. It truly is fun. It really is fun. We can use aneroid to fuel it!’
This is theoretically only feasible with a gasoline engine!!!
Myth – Some companies promote cool and low boost turbo units!!! Myth-
It’s only fundamental physics. Both pressure and volume are interrelated. A higher boost turbo provides an engine with more air than a turbocharged turbo. The larger the boost, the bigger the amount of air! A turbo is just an air supply unit. Typically, little boost pressure used in turbocharging produces little if any heat. The air would heat up fast if we kept pumping the air into a couple of hundred PSI. Fuel still produces heat in the equation!! Petrol loads are comparable to tonnes of heat.
A matching turbo is fast spinning so that a nice lean mix is low and torque boosts early (a clean and cool lean mixture is made with Diesel!!). The turbo is a very strong turbo. As we are all aware, diesel engines generate the highest torque in low engine rpm, thus we need a turbo to enhance these low motor revs most. How is the ‘large low turbo’ turned? Not much till the rpm motor is high. It is too late to reach high rpm for the boost! In actuality, the mix of fuel and air from low to the mid operating range may be rather rich if the boost is maintained, and the turbo is spreading slowly. The narrator states ‘Rich involves heat in a diesel.
Therefore, it is mythical to use a large ‘cool’ turbofloat! A turbo must boost and boost the entire revolutionary range early with its today’s high revitalized diesel.
Myth- Use the old multiple and simply modify it to the turbo.
act- This is a genuine concern. The original drain collector is not designed to displace the weight of a turbocharged unit or the extra back pressure generated by a turbo. The fact that the turbo to bolt has a specially built new exhaust system is only sensible. For cylinders 1, 2, 3 from 4, 5, and 6, a unique turbo exhaust collector is separated inside. This is particularly suitable for exhaust flow and low-speed times.
