Problems in 3.5L Ecoboost Engine 

In an attempt to improve, Ford replaced that the very first EcoBoost engine with a second edition, which was installed in the F-150, Expedition, and Navigator in 2017. ·       Intercooler Condensation

·       Timing Chain Wear

When a driver surpasses the recommended oil change interval, the timing chain is usually the first to show signs of wear. Worn-out oil will cause damage to the chain, gears, and tensioner. As the chain wears and stretches, the PCM detects changes in camshaft position and assigns code P0016 for crankshaft/camshaft correlation.

 ·       Issues with the Ignition

Remove the plugs if you have one of the Ford EcoBoost turbo problems that are related to the ignition. If there is any monitoring, remove all plugs and boots..

 ·       Blue Or White Smoke From Exhaust

When driving after a long idle, some 2013-2015 cars equipped with a 3.5L Ecoboost may emit blue or white smoke from the exhaust. The root of the issue is the hose valve cover adapter for positive crankcase ventilation. Remove the valve cover adapter’s simple attach fitting from the PCV hose to the valve lid adapter. If the valve cover adapter is removed, it will cause damage.

Ensure that no pieces of the valve cover combination lock fall into the open valve cover port during removal. Rotate the adapter counterclockwise to remove it from the valve cover. Ford has produced a revised valve cover adapter to stop the leak.
